Final post for L2T (or is it?)
I would really like to be able to use more of the Web 2.0 technology. Awesome possibilities for me with photo organization, photo sharing. Event planning with a group of people -- work related, or family gatherings -- will be very cool, too. And I love the idea of exploring travel destinations through the eyes of people who have visited those same places. My biggest frustrations have been the passwords and the limited time to explore the possibilities. I want to know it all now and be at the to of the learning curve NOW. But I know that when I go back in to explore and use sites, I will not remember much and will have to proceed so slowly. The good things -- thanks to this training I feel more a part of the 2.0 technology. I'm more familiar with terms, sites, how-tos, etc., and am more confident. Without this training, I'm not sure when I would have taken the time to jump in.
PlanetEye, "my" web2.0
I chose PlanetEye, a site that facilitates travel planning. Since I like to learn about a destination before I go, I thought this would be a good place to pull it all together for me at the planning stage. For example, I chose Prague. I have been there before, so I would be particularly interested in sites and events I had not experienced before. Looks like a good place to find interesting, more neighborhood type places, especially for lodging and restaurants, on my next visit.
A question--PlanetEye is STILL loading, even after I started posting to the Wiki and to my blog over an hour ago. Does this mean it was not a "good" site to choose?
